Our first stop is at Cafe Oasis in the Clear Lake area. Not only did the guy behind the counter know nothing about it, he actually had the guts to tell us, “Coffee is Coffee.” We almost walked out without our coffee when we heard that.

We did stop by 2 Starbucks locations to see if there was any mayhem happening from caffeine-deprived folks. You can hear our thoughts on the whole experience here:

Jackie has some news about a coffee cup recall from Starbucks.

A Twitter friend of Jennifer’s, “Dr. Linguist” shared findings of a recent report on the Thigh Slimming properties that Doctor’s in Rio de Jinero have found in coffee.

I have some interesting Coffee News that was on CNN this morning. Apparently Starbucks revenues are down and they’re feeling the crunch from competitors that offer the good stuff.

Jennifer thinks their revenues are down because of the revolution we are leading…

I think the consumer can tell the difference between a push button espresso & one that is hand crafted…mmm Ok, I’ll be back….or will I, Dave?

REVIEW: High marks to The Root Cellar in San Marcos for delicious food and a perfect cup of brew. This cool little spot has an artsy vibe with a friendly staff. We give it “2 CUPS WAAAYYYY UP!” Yummy! Be sure to make time to visit this fine establishment.
We did have a “Cups Down” review too, but the name of that spot shall remain nameless. While it did have a really neat cozy vibe, the coffee was less than stellar.

We may have gotten Chris Brogan, co-founder of PodCamp, to commit to attend PodCamp San Antonio: Numero Dos! Woot!

Jackie wants to organize a JenCamp while PodCamp San Antonio is going on. Bring your tents & sleeping bags! Don’t forget to bring your Texas passport Ajay!

Check out the video from the Graphic Designer/Podcaster Party

Jennifer was attacked by a pack of puny chihuahua’s

The San Antonio City Cynic and his Muse will be tying the knot soon. Expect to hear the coffee side of the nuptials from us.

Jennifer did an interview with San Marcos City Councilman, John Thomaides Chamber President Phyllis Hunt at Blogtoberfest for the San Antonio Podcasters http://sapodcasters.com

City Officials in San Marcos really understand Tech/Social-New Media and want us to help spread the word. With the warm welcome we received, we'll be doing just that! A heartfelt thanks to Scott Gregson of Gregson Investments for his generous hospitality. San Marcos ROCKS!

We did record in the kitchen with the trusty iRiver so during the roasting process the audio is a bit hard to hear. It is recommended that home roasting be done in either a well ventilated area or outdoors. We had the kitchen window open and the vent hood on high. We would love to hear your home roasting stories.
